Lol, got this right before it became unavailable!
I love this thing. 1 gig of space for all of my movies and personal videos, and even my own music. Very easy to set up. Hopefully this thing will last me a long time and won't break, because I have so much of my personal stuff on here that that would be terrible. But yeah, this is excellent for the price. EDIT: After a year of owning it the external configuration broke and I had to take the hard drive from the enclosure and use it internally. This month the hard drive has started giving me problems and is coming closer to absolute failure every day. I've got 10 year old hard drives that are still working fine today. Save your money and don't waste it on this.

dies in months
Product just failed. Was highly disappointed. My old Maxtor is still humming. This didn't last 6 months.

In continuos Service for 2 years with no problems
I bought this drive in 2009 to add storage to an older machine and it installed and operated perfectly. The extra storage breathed life into a system that was on its last legs. That was 3 years ago and i have had nothing but fast, perfect performance under heavy use. It has been powered up essentially full time for these years and it still operates perfectly. Could not be happier.

Good while it lasted
Worked great for a year and a half. Then the hard drive failed and now it's just a paperweight. Next time I will spend a little extra to get something better quality.

USB port is the weak point for this hard drive
The USB port design is poor and, unfortunately, the replacement did not solve the problem
