Bought one-year ago; bad pixels, hassle to return, never reimbursed 32 shipping. New one works fine. After about seven months the DVD drive stops working. Hey - I bought the 2-year warranty. Good deal. Now, they want me to return computer and they'll refund purchase price. In a month. why. I use this for business and have much software to re-install; may end up replacing bad drive myself. Will definitely think twice about buying this brand, or at this place. Also, touchpad placement has cursor jumping all over. Big nuisance. My frustration and displeasure are at maximum levels. Otherwise, I've enjoyed the machine fine. |

These computers have a defective motherboard video card that blow up about a year into their lives. For that matter, research all HP computers and take a pass if you find anything remotely negaitve. There are a lot of $700 HP brand paperweights out there now.
Other than the fatal design flaw built into this computer, there were some other things that bothered me about this computer as well. The chrome finish, for example, which seems like a great thing when you read about it, is soon covered with fingeprints and becomes a gross smudgy mess after about a minute's worth of use. I tink I spent as much time wiping down the finger surfaces as I did actually using the computer.
Also, the bronze colored keys are pretty enough in the light but are impossible to see in low light conditions.
After living with this as a second computer for the past year (until it blew up) I can't reccomend it to anyone. |

This thing stinks. Video run at full screen, even youtube, is choppy and stutters. Games lag even at the lowest graphics settings. This has the performance of a $299 netbook. DO NOT BUY. |

I bought this laptop a few months ago. I found it not shutting down, I would have to pull the battery or let it drain the battery. The screen shuts off, but the HP light and the media bar will not. I did a system restore and all was well, until a month ago. Now it does the same thing! No help on the web about this. Oh well, live and learn. |

I was very happy with the product and continue to be, but my AC power adapter died after several months of use. I had to purchase a new one. |

What Is A Cell? It's a
battery
Though technically a battery has multiple cells, we are accustomed to calling a
single energy cell a battery as well.In
electronics, a battery or voltaic cell is a combination of many electrochemical
Galvanic cells of identical type to store chemical energy and to deliver it in
the form of electricity. The battery cells combine to produce more energy
(voltage or amps) than a cell by itself. When joined in this way, it is a
battery of cells. Almost all portable electronics use one or more cells -
rechargeable or disposable. The more cells, the more energy available -
meaning more hours of use usually.
In Notebook computers, the battery case usually
holds three or more cells. 3 Cell batteries tend to provide about 1-3
hours of use, depending on the energy needs of the Laptop. 6 cell (or
more) batteries provide much more energy, and many more hours of use. This
can be good or bad! More cells mean longer use, but more weight too!
So remember to always check for the number of
cells if specified, and choose the right configuration for your use.
