I have this PC almost a year now and I am starting to see major problems. It crashed a couple of weeks ago and took the recovery files with it because the problem was the drive. I purchased a set of recovery DVD online and did a complete system recovery, but all of my data on that disk are gone! The PC is still in warranty but I will not waste my time and effort to fight with their support people try to get that disk replaced. Will I buy another computer from them? NEVER!!! |

This computer ran like a dream when I first bought it, simply amazing. Now its unreliable. In the middle of playing some game the computer randomly shuts down, when ur watching youtube, computer shuts down. |

Bought this last November as a Xmas gift. I upgraded to a 3-D graphics card and paired it with a Viewsonic 3-D monitor. It's been working great and the recipient couldn't be happier. |

After shopping systems for what seemed like ages, your company threw a price out that i could not refuse on this computer!(and its new!, not refurb.), always wanted a affordable quad core with great specs, and this certainly fits the bill!, got it in only 2 days from ordering, whats not to love!
Amazingly quick,installed Windows 7 Pro 64 bit before i even did anything,and have never looked back!!, zero product issues, as i come to expect from Gateway, have owned 3 previously, including this one
Check the specs, check what it would cost to piece this together, you will realize what a good deal this system is, hope your company offers it again! |

I got this as a budget comp and it has its share of problems. The biggest annoyance was that it crashed on most of the games I tried...some gaming comp. I had to replace the power supply since it was insufficient for the rig's hardware. This baffles me as how this rig was manufactured with such a lacking psu.
But don't get me wrong, as for the rest of the specs, this rig is a steal at 650 USD. You'll just need to throw in another 100 for a good power supply and maybe 50 more better cooling fans and heatsink if you want. After all of that, it's still a great price. You just need to work at it and be patient with the troubleshooting. |

What You Should Know

Recovery Media
Most computer systems no longer include "Recovery Media" (Disks or CDs used to restore your computer system to it's factory shipped state). Many do not even include Operating System disks.
This is not specific to systems purchased from any one company, but now standard practice throughout the entire industry.
However, many manufacturers include software on the hard drive that creates recovery media for you. This allows burning your own set of recovery CDs or DVDs - all you need is the blank media.
Inclusion of such a recovery utility varies by manufacturer and model; not all manufactures and models include such a utility. For those that include such a utility we recommend you create your own set of recovery media after completing the Windows installation. In other words, right after you start using your PC!
If you fail to do this and encounter a difficulty in the future you may not be able to properly restore your computer.
Some manufacturers may have physical recovery media available separately for purchase; consult your owner’s manual support information section for additional information. Systems that do not come with a CD/DVD burner may still include Recovery Disks - please check the manufacturer's specs.
