After researching for about 4 months I finally settled on the Onkyo 607 and I'm glad I did, it's so easy to setup, lots of inputs (we have 4 game consoles so this unit is just right) and amazing sound quality. Up scaling is way too easy to enable, you will NOT be disappointed! We are re-watching all of our movies in surround sound, just impressive quality. |

Don't waste your money on this over priced junk! The HDMI interface went out on mine in less than 2 years. Had it shipped to an authorized repair dealer and U.P.S. destroyed it. Death to Onkyo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Buy from a reputable company like Sony. |

I bought this to go to HDMI switching for audio and video. This unit allows for lots of devices switched in this way. The big surprise was th Audyssey setup software. The soundstage results achieved in my living room from using Audyssey for setup blow away what I've been able to do with manual setup on my last two receivers. HDMI switchin is not as fast as I'd hoped, but this is a minor complaint compared to the ease of setup, quality of picture and excellent sound that I'm getting from this receiver. |

Easy installation and setup, great 5.1 surround sound. Design is well done and user friendly. Auxilliary inputs on front allow input from laptop and other devices. One minor complaint is front panel control labels are hard to see. Over all, I am very happy with this purchase. |
