It's been two years since I purchased this monitor. I couldn't be happier! I used a huge, ancient nineties-model CRT until two years ago; this was my very first LCD, first hi-def, and first widescreen. What really made me finally make the jump to LCD after all these years was the price - it was a steal!
I have experienced NO problems whatsoever with quality or performance even after 24-7 use over two years. The quality was and is amazing, crystal clear. My setup is close-quarters and the screen is impressively big. I ran a dual-monitor setup for over a year with no issues, either. Incidentally, I'm really fond of the blue power light too... honestly, it just looks cool.
While this review on an old product might not be all that helpful to new customers, I'd say stick with this brand. I'll be buying them again when I upgrade twelve years from now! |

Bought this on sale near black friday--deal was so good I bought three of them! I have two of them in use now, one still in box. So far I have no problems with them. I use them with VGA ports at highest resolution. It does greatly expand my desktop area. Great purchase! |

Great monitor; however, controls leave a lot to be desired! Major headache trying to adjust brightness and contrast (way too bright for me). As far as power button is concerned, no problem...just plug monitor and computer into power strip! Dobby |

Excellent clarity and back-light. You can't beat the quality for the price of this monitor. and delivery was quick. I've run it through an HDMI out from my video card to the DVI and also from DVI to DVI from my laptop and have not had any issues. |

Cleaning Your LCD Monitor or TV
Now that you have your new LCD Monitor or Widescreen TV, it is important to
use the right products to clean it. The wrong cleaner can damage the
surface of your display. However, there are many new cleaning products on the market designed especially for
LCD displays. We recommend using a soft, lint-free cloth and a special LCD
cleaner. (You can also use a cleaner that
contains any of the following: Water, Vinegar (mixed with water), or Isopropyl alcohol). BUT Do Not Use cleaners that contain any of the following agents: Acetone, Ethyl alcohol, Ethyl acid, Ammonia, Methyl chloride!
Important:
Do not spray any liquids directly on the LCD screen. Always apply the
solution to your cloth first, not directly to the parts you are cleaning.
Always use a soft cotton cloth. Some materials, such as paper towels or old
rags can cause scratches and damage the LCD screen.

Dual Monitor
Technology
Few PC users have ever experienced the huge productivity boost that comes
from using multiple monitors on the same PC. Ironically, many of
today's PC have the capability already installed, and Windows (since 2000)
natively supports dual monitors. Configuring dual monitors is so easy: just use
the second video port (if there are two separate ports installed), or add a
second video card or better yet, a video card that has dual DVI ports.
Then plug in your second monitor, change a couple of simple Windows settings,
and you have double the Windows Desktop. This lets you have your
spreadsheet and email visible at the same time, or PowerPoint and Photoshop.

handled by the video card, there is little significant impact (if any) on
