I bought this printer for a few reasons.
1) My fiancee was not getting much value out of the ink cartridges in her DJ.
2) We are planning a wedding and wanted to print our own invitations.
3) I wanted the printer on the network directly.
This printer shipped with the "light" versions of the toner cartridges. To replace all 4 cartridges will run me almost as much as I paid for the printer.
The color output is quite impressive, especially on glossy paper. Make sure you specify the correct paper type!
I had no problems printing our invitations, RSVP ards, and insert for our wedding. Trying to print the envelops, though, was a nightmare. We opted for labels instead, which printed beautifully.
This printer is louder and slower than other LJ's that I've had experiences with, but I'm pretty satisfied with it overall.

Excellent package, looking 99.98% just like new with 4 starter HP cartridge included. Networked 3 PC's in a small office using RJ45 cat5 wiring, easy to setup print sharing - like the option of a direct USB connection & very useful as a standalone. It's heavy at over 45 pounds but it's a HP color laser with 12 month brand-trusted warranty, at a better than "to steal it" price even with shipping charges. Can do duplex & direct printing from memory cards/usb port, very powerful feature. Paper tray is a bit small & need to use care to avoid breakage. Otherwise, money saved will get extra set of cartridge & paper products to use with this. |

This is a great printer, works great, great color, etc. Would definitely recommend. Automatically detected printer on LAN when installing drivers. Haven't had any problems. |
