There is a reason this model is so cheaply sold. It breaks. A lot. Reading through reviews, this along with other cheaper magellans all have shoddy construction, the solder for the connector inside breaks, the processor slowly dies because it's extremely cheap and my own personal complaint, the touchscreen stops working. Without a working touchscreen. You get what you pay for. |

after about 15 min in traffic jam it asked me if I wanted to try a different route.. Shock . Great Idea. Never a moments trouble works as well as any $300. unit in my book.. |

That is my 1st GPS and i like it a lot. The good is that it has advance features like text to speech with street names. You will never miss any street or intersecton.The same Product you can buy from their US site almost 20-25 buck less but may be you pay a lot of duty on that. You can download POIs to the item like red light camera locatios. That part i like the most.
The Bad is that the suction cup willnot hold the the screen or dash board disk for longer. It fell down so many time but still working.. hahah. YOu need some glue to put on permanently like i did. Inshort i suggest all the buddies to go for it and download the latest firmware from web which will make it much more faster than before. The bad about the new firware downloaded is having less brightness while good thing is louder volume. I dont care about less brighness caz you listen more than you see when driving.
Value of product compare to other proucts in market is $220. Bad is that POIs are older. |

I've been using Magellan GPS's for years and they're Highly reliable. Processing speeds have increased over the years, BUT what makes them MOST appealing are their ease of use. I've tried many other GPS units (t0m t0m, garman, etc) but none of these are as simple to use and follow directions. I've converted many friends and family to Magellan after they tried mine or seen me use mine. Not only are they simple to use and reliable, but this is a Steal at this price. For this price, don't waste your money going into any other store and paying 2 or 3 times more. |

We've been using this for over a year without any issues. Only complaint is that you can not use this without plugging it in (battery won't last half an hour), and that you can not search by GPS coordinates (not that this is often required). We love the fast response (TTFF is usually less than 30 seconds) and the time estimates (ETA) are better than other devices. Navigation algorithms appear better than others as well. |
