All in all a decent price for the BEGINNINGS of an i7 build. My HDD died at 31 days exactly, thanks for a poor warranty service. Ram was too little for W7x64. Zero W7x64 driver support. Power supply was insufficient for the board as shipped, it was using a six pin connector for an eight pin socket on the motherboard!!! Motherboard is also proprietary and a Micro ATX, also not mentioned. Best part of this deal is the hot swappable case design, perfect for a forensics case.

It looked like a good deal and a good computer. After starting in the original configuration (Vista 64) I got the blue screen of death (BSOD) repeatedly and it appeared that there was a conflict related to the DIRECT X driver and the graphics card. I would have expected that the machine was tested before delivery. Spent a lot of time to solve the conflict, upgraded to WIN 7, downloaded the latest drivers with little success. Eventually replaced the video card with one from a different manufacturer and since then no problem. Upgrading from VISTA to WIN 7 also did not work. Should have been flawless according to MS instructions and the compatibility test. Had to install WIN 7 from the scratch and all programs etc. Now the machine is running fine, fast, and with no further issues.
If you decide to buy this or similar refurbished items be prepared to spend some time to fix driver and hardware conflicts and some money to replace components (if necessary).

Do not buy if you are not well versed in troubleshooting computers. Mine came with a defective video card and multiple wires unplugged from the motherboard. Bought a new video card myself since it costs less than shipping an entire computer back and this site does not exchange single components. DDR3 and i7 is very fast though.

I bought this as machine as a family home use system. Super quick shipping. Very fast computer. It was the best deal I could find on a machine with these features and significantly cheaper than I could have built one myself. The only complaints I have are that the hot swap bays needed some massaging to get them working (I had to bend the metal tabs out of the way for to get my hard drives to seat properly) and the card reader pop-up door sticks most of the time. I highly recommend this computer and would not hesitate to buy another one .

bought this to use for my higher powered applications related to my computer forensic business. researched and found there were issues but they were minor. first, the power supply is not powerful enough. it will freeze at startup. replaced it with a 700W OCZ and fixed that. had to update the BIOS to unlock features in the MB (gateway locks it out). RAM runs very hot. installed a RAM cooler to fix that. also, the power supply only has 4 SATA connectors, which are all used, so there is no extra plug for a slave drive. my new power supply has 6 plugs. in the end i have a very good computer for under $900 after my modifications.
all-in-all, great buy if you aren't afraid to modify it a little. out of the box, you will have some issues.
