I did some research on SSD's. A lot of people complain about not having enough room to run Windows XP and above. This is not a problem if you either move page file and temp folder to a separate partition on a hard drive disk, or, if you have enough memory, you can eliminate a page file all-together. What I do (and have been doing for years) is to create a small (about 500 MB) 'C' partition for the necessary boot files, a 'D' partition (about 7 or 8 GB) for Windows, an 'E' partition large enough for any programs you may want to install, and an 'F' partition for Documents and Settings. The 'F' partition should be on a regular hard drive because files are frequently re-written there. By doing this you will extend the life of your SSD. You really don't want data on an SSD that changes frequently, bacause it decreases it's life.
If you follow my suggestions, your PC will boot in about 15-20 seconds and your programs will open instantly.

Great budget SSD. It's way faster than the Intel 40gb and OCZ Onyx 32gb SSDs. Indilix controller has less problems that Sandforce controllers. Very reliable and low heat. I'm using it in a Dell Vostro laptop with Linux Mint. 30gb is plenty of space for Linux, but kind of small for Windows 7. By the way, Linux kernel 2.6.33 and above supports Trim. Just add the mount option 'discard' to your Linux partitions in the fsab file.

I see a number of reviews complaining that this drive is too small for an operating system. That is almost true if you just buy one, but buy more than one, configure them as RAID 0 and you have the fastest system drive ever. I have 4 of these puppies configured as RAID 0 so that gives me 120GB of space and fantastic throughput. My system boots in 9 seconds and response times for disk intensive programs are off the charts!

Dont listen to these peoplebelow me... Buy this, install your operating system and main programs, disable page filing, and finally, add a regular hard disk drive for additional storage. 30gb is plenty of room if you know how to use it.
