after many years
I have had this printer for several years and it still works great. This is my second Brother printer and they are all I'll use from now on. Colors are bright and clear. For high quality print this printer performs perfectly. The only downside I've found is that the ink is expensive and it uses a lot, but, for me, the quality makes up for that

Would buy it again
This is my second 6490. The first worked quite well, so I bought a second one after the first one no longer worked (the ink cartridge lever broke). I do a lot of color copying and the color must match the original. After

Horrible product!
It self cleans and used up the three colors of ink with me printing less than 20 pages. I decided to remove power when it is not in use to try to save the ink but it self cleans every time it starts. It will not stay connected (wireless, Win7 Ultimate) to my computer. When it does work, it works well (USB is very easy to use) but, again, goes through an amazing amount of ink.
