I purchase this router on Nov.2 and it died on me on Nov.19, not even an year. A lesson learned for me. |

Do not buy this router. It does not work with Apple Iphone. It keeps diconnecting the iphone. Also this is referbished and does not come with the stand. If you call net gear for help your call gets routed to another country and they tell you to call apple and are no help. |

I am running Windows Vista and read reviews that said I would need update to install. No need, this product was plug and play with minimal effert to get it operating. Would recommend this to everyone. The price and ease are the selling point. I am running 2 hardwired and 1 wireless system and have had great speed rates since installing. |

The price was not bad it supports Gigabit broadband speeds with wireless 802.11n. The wireless speed is now equal to the old wired speed. I had to adjust the Router to broadcast the wireless signal through web based settings. Its not a hassle if you know how to do it but please be prepared if you can't get a wireless signal. Also, mine was missing the base foot that helps the unit stand up. Tech Supports says some units ship that way so live with it. Other than that the unit does what it is suppose to quite well. So I recommend it with a few caveats listed. |

Though not exactly the WNR854T, I purchased a recertified WNR834T and after a year it conked out. I have a feeling that their entire line of WNR8??T's may be defective since so many of them are being sold as recertified. |
