My new Canon PowerShot SD890 IS is broken already. Still works but when I tried removing part to get some lint, dirt or debris out from inside trapped under lens the lens cover/shield mechanism fell apart, tiny sprigs shot out, etc. and the dust/debris inside lens area remains there. I don't understand how debris could have gotten in there like that aside from maybe being in my pocket, but this is what it is designed for isn't it? I have all parts, in case anyone reviewing may know about warranty repair(?). Is this under warranty, or was I "negligent" in attempting to remove the huge debris trapped under lens? Pretty good camera but it could have been a bit better designed to "fit" the hand, better grip, etc. All the "whistles & bells" are nice, but I still haven't quite had enough time to figure out, read manual, etc., so recommend simple mode for any like myself who just wants a quick easy camera, etc. Design could use improvement as far as ergo
The best digital camera that I have used.

I have yet to use all the features, but what I like is the viewfinder ( which many digitals don't have) including the newer model -- the main reason I chose it over the newer one. While they last, you can get a great deal on this loaded little powershot!

MEGAPIXELS AND PHOTO PRINT SIZE
The
photo print quality of your images depends on the camera's "megapixel
rating." The higher number of pixels your camera has, the higher the resolution
(or sharpness) of your images---and the larger your prints can be without
quality loss.
Digital Camera Flash Storage
Capacities
* Average file size
using cameras highest resolution JPEG mode. Actual number of
photos, songs, and minutes will vary depending on camera/device model,
format resolution and compression, usable capacity, and bundled software.
Actual usable memory capacity may vary. 1MB equals 1 million bytes; 1GB
equals 1 billion bytes.
NUMBER OF IMAGES STORED ON A DIGITAL CARD The number of
pictures you can take varies depending on your camera model and complexity
of the scene being photographed. To calculate how many pictures your card
can hold, divide the capacity of your card by the average file size of your
images. For example, if you have a 256MB card, and use a camera that has an
average file size of 1.2MB, then 256 divided by 1.2 gives you approximately
213 pictures. As you change modes on your camera, the number of images will
increase if you shoot in a lower resolution mode, and decrease if you shoot
in a higher resolution mode.
Contents of package may vary from those pictured and stated here,
due to changes in manufacturer's specifications or merchandising.
