PCI
Express 2.0 Support PCI Express Base 2.0 specification doubles the interconnect bit rate from 2.5 GT/s to 5 GT/s in a seamless and compatible manner. The performance boost to 5 GT/s is by far the most important feature of the PCI Express 2.0 specifications. It effectively increases the aggregate bandwidth of a 16-lane link to approximately 16 GB/s. The higher bandwidth will allow product designers to implement narrower interconnect links to achieve high performance. |

If you are looking for a headache by all means snag this mobo. I've been building computers for roughly ten years now and have experienced the ups and downs of products. I'm by no standards an expert builder.. however I do know a thing or two about computers. Right out of the box this board gave a different error each time I tried to boot, after trial and error for over a week I called in the pros. The assured me it was mobo not operator error. I contacted eVGA and set up an RMA.. 3 weeks later I received the new board and mailed theres back. Sure the new one booted right up... and 5 days later went to crap. I called their tech support and they seemed to be too busy and told me to check the memory which had already been done and checked out fine. No RMA the customer service through evga if you haven't dealt with them before is fubar. I got a hold of some techy friends and they recommended XFX's 790i Ultra SLI. Not a single problem ever with XFX! processor good, board bad!
