Runs two independent processor cores in one physical package at the same frequency. Features 1 MB of shared L2 cache and 800 MHz Front Side Bus. - Intel® Wide Dynamic Execution
Improves execution speed and efficiency, delivering more instructions per clock cycle. Each core can complete up to four full instructions simultaneously.
- Intel® Smart Memory Access
Optimizes the use of the data bandwidth from the memory subsystem to accelerate out-of-order execution. New pre-fetch algorithms move data from system memory into fast L2 cache in advance of execution. These functions keep the pipeline full, improving instruction throughput and performance. - Intel® Advanced Smart Cache
The shared L2 cache is dynamically allocated to each processor core, based on workload. This efficient, dual-core optimized implementation increases the probability that each core can access data from the fast L2 cache, significantly reducing latency to frequently used data and improving performance. - Intel® Advanced Digital Media Boost

Bought this for a new build. Very fast and it overclocked well to 3.6 Ghz under 2/3 load average and kept at 113 degrees F.Bought a Masscool 8W553 cpu fan and it kept it like that.
Under normal clocking it runs about 109 degrees at varying loads. I also use other case fans 120mm in front 80mm exhaust and 80mm side intake so this may also be a factor...fans are cheap and i dont personally think one can have too many. Shipping was fast as usual. Thank you once again . |

Bought this with a mobo combo and works great. Fast smooth performance all around. Haven't tried OCing yet, but will soon. |

Easy to install processor chip. but not easy to install fan. Once it is in, it is much nicer than my old PIII. |

Hey.....for 60 bucks you can't beat it. Mine's running at 2.65 right now......after reading some of the other reviews....I just might try to push 3ghz! |
