Great Laptop
I found this laptop to be better than average. The sound volume is not so high. It's a bit heavy. Otherwise, it's a good one. I play NFSMW in mid detail, work in Adobe CS3 design suit. It's fast. The display is crisp. No trouble in 6 months. I recommend this laptop to those who don't have more budget to buy a core two due laptop with dedicated graphics card.

Bought this as a replacement for my wife's Toshiba (runs VERY hot). This is a much better machine with all the features and power you could want. It comes with Windows Vista which, in my opinion is the worst operating system ever. I've removed it and opted for XP. The computer itself is a great value and I'd highly reccommend it.

This is an EXCELLENT notebook, I give it 5 stars. I've owned 6 or 7 Acer's (I won't mention the horrible Toshiba) and so far this is the best. It's got an nVidia nForce chipset and nVidia 7000M graphics that are better than any of my previous ones (all were Intel or ATi). The 2GB of RAM is great... it's plenty, plus the dual-core 64-bit AMD proc is fast and furious. Built-in InfraRed lets you use your media apps with a remote and connect IR devices or sync with Palm, etc. The Super-Multi burner burns almost any type of media, including DVD-RAM discs. The built-in webcam is the best I've ever used, ultra high quality. 250GB SATA drive is VERY fast and large enough to ensure you won't fill it up for quite a while. Acer offers XP drivers on their site so I'm now dual-booting XP and Vista. Vistas score for the system is thru the roof except for the video, which Vista gave a low score. That's ok because I give Vista a low score too so we're even ;) GRAB ONE of these before the deal is gone!

This is a great machine for the price. My only compliants are that the volume on the side is easy to hit and when you type it can be easy to hit the touchpad and move your cursor.

A well-built, quality laptop with features you would pay $500 more for if this was a Lenovo or HP or other big brand name box. I am very happy with it.
