Overall pleased with the stand. Would be perfect with a integrated wireless mouse. As it doesn't, you still loose one of the 3 USB ports.
Mine worked without the external power - but can only run wireless mouse, and self powered USB items. Plugging the stand in, I have a printer, mp3 player, and external hard drive plugged into a bus powered hub.
Good price - shipping was high. |

I am in and out of the office all the time so it didn't make much sense to get a desktop when it came time to upgrade a while back. I learned to live with a notebook as my only computer but I never realized how much slower I typed on it until I got this Logitech Alto. And the neck relief is worth the money for this all by itself. I truly didn't know how badly I needed this. My boss saw mine and made me order one for him too! |

A few people have complained about the power socket failing. Most of the time, I don't use the power cord at all, except when I want to plug a USB device (that draws a lot of power) into the base. My Laptop powers the base sufficiently for everyday use, so don't sweat the power cord issue. Regardless, a great product at an unbelievable price!! I got a spare for myself, and one for a gift. With the HUGELY discounted price and the fact that I can't find this on their American site anymore, it looks like this might have been discontinued by Logitech. That means hurry and get yours!! |

I should have learned my lesson by now, but I'm on my 3rd Alto Cordless Notebook Stand. As someone mentioned in a previous review, the plug in the back became loose after 10 months, and none of the USB ports worked. Completely useless! I contacted the manufacturer by e-mail and they never replied. I own many products of this same brand & I trust the quality of their name. Their Tech Support is great otherwise. The Second and third one - Note, I purchased the Second one as a replacement for the first and the 3rd one was a Christmas gift for a friend who shipped out to the Persian Gulf before it arrived. After only 3 months, the Second one had the same problem. Again the manufacturer never replied to my e-mail. So I opened the 3rd one, the gift, and began using it about three weeks ago. Let's see how long before the same problem occurs. Why doesn't it come with a wireless mouse? |

Just got it and set it up for a Laptop that I'm giving as a B-Day Gift, and tried it out to make sure that it works.
Works very nice.
Just don't use the power supply that it comes with, seems to do nothing but turns it off.
I got it with a Logitech LX Cordless Mouse, and it'll be One Sweet Set-Up for the one who'll be getting it. Makes me think of getting my own Laptop with the same Set-up. |
