I agree with them all, I am so happy I got this. It makes my neighbor go crazy with jealosy. I have this coupled with 4 Gb of ram and water-cooling. I can honestly say that this is the fastest computer I have ever seen(I'm sure there are faster). But anyway, to the point...GET THIS NOW AND JOIN THE TECHNOLOGICAL SENSATION NOW !!!!!!!! seriously, get this

I have to review this! this has got to be the definately the best processor I've ever had! For Gamers, as of now, the Quad-core is not the best because of the lack of multi-threaded games. BUT! for digital photography, 3D work, or video editing it's a must buy! Lightwave 3D 9, rendering a scene ________ Pentium 4 2.8 Ghz(took 24 hours) vs. core 2 extreme Quad-core (took 9 hours), Almost as 3 times as fast as one 2.8 GHZ!!!____________NOTE: for those who think Dual or Quad core CPU's are less powerful because of the Ghz difference, it doesn't mean 2.66 for overall but for each core instead.

I am not a gamer. nor do I overclock. Just bought this do get my work done much fast.I work with cad and graphics, etc. It does what Intel claims. For me just the time I saved just this week paid for this processor.
Evga 680i , 2 Nvida Quatro 3450 sli, 2g OCZ 1066 sli ready mem, 6 westerdigital 500g hd (raid5), Antec 900 advance gamer case ( strongly sugest this case ) , with thermaltake big typhoon fan, temp runs form 32c to 46 c , ave 36c ( room temp at 75f) My last computor was amd 4800 which ran at 60c all time. Like the intel more. My opion so far it is worth the money.( Note to those who buy the evga 680i . make sure the fan has a H back plate . the aircool gt 100 does not work on 680i board.

Makes a big difference in benchmarks but really, nothing out there for mainstraeam users uses this technoloy. Quadcore is a promise for whats ahead in PC's and electronics.

I went from a Pentium D 3.6 to The Intel Core 2 Duo QX6700 2.66 8mb QUAD CORE chip. The quad is a MULTI TASKING MONSTER. However software still needs to be either tweaked or developed to utilize the EXTRA cores. Few programs will take full advantage of this chip HOWEVER I expect the Quad will soon enough become the standard if only by word of mouth concerning the before mentioned multi tasking strengths. I currently have this chip overclocked to 3.2 and MIGHT slowly start to push it up. On the Video apps that do utilize the extra cores rendering times have been sliced in half. Even on SOME apps I can open and run more than one video render at one time while still surfing. Windows FLY open without any tweaking. I hope the CLOCK speeds do increase. Good Chip too bad the rest of the world software wise really isnt prepared...but SOON will be
