THIS OEM VERSION CONTAINS NO DRIVERS. THIS MEANS THAT WHEN YOU GET DONE YOU WILL HAVE NO SOUND. SIXTEEN COLOR GRAPHICS. NO PRINTER DRIVERS, NO MODEM DRIVERS, ETC. AS LONG AS YOUR WILLING TO GO THE MANUFACTURERS AND DOWNLOAD ALL YOUR NEEDED DRIVERS. THIS VERSION IS A BARGAIN. THE REASON THE RETAIL VERSIONS COST MORE. IS THAT MICROSOFT INCLUDES LOTS OF PRINTER DRIVERS. SOUND DRIVERS, VIDEO DRIVERS, GRAPHIC DRIVERS, MODEM DRIVERS ETC. WHEN YOU GET DONE INSTALLING. YOUR AUDIO WILL BE THEIR. You cannot make the best better. That is what Windows Xp, in any version, is. I had tried both vista and windows 7. They are two steps backwards. Microsoft has failed in their endeavour to create a superior operating system. In order to make a new software superior over another you need to make the transistion easy, not difficult. Windows XP is THE superior operating system. You cannot do better than XP. |

I've been using XP Home since it came out, with every addition as it came out. Having experienced Millennium, and toyed with Vista, the only OS upgrade I would do would be to XP Pro, but I am perfectly happy with XP Home |
