speculative execution, out of order execution, and super scalar) that

Very nice CPU and as advertised. My only issue has to do with Intel. The instructions for installing the fan, at least for a first-timer like myself, are a bit cryptic. They tell you to be careful not to touch the coating on the bottom of the fan housing as it is a conductor of heat between it and the CPU case. Well I had to try to lock the four pins down a few times and I looked at the CPU casing and there was this substance visible. I was concerned that the fan/cpu combo would no longer work but that is not the case. All is well. I feel there should be better pictures, instructions and warnings about this. But if you are looking for a great Core Duo CPU with its own fan and the software (at no cost), you can't beat the deal here.

What a great package, fast stable CPU, used from my very first build in a DIY SFF FNW, Documention for installing is great, but I opted out of the OEM heatsink and fan, used a Zalaman ALCU-7000-LED instead and could not be happier. All that and a copy of adavanced warfighter to boot! Thanks Tiger Direct!

This CPU is the best bang for the price. If there was a rating for tiger directs support I would give them 1 star. After recieving my CPU my computer would not boot and after running tests we determined the cpu was defective. I called up tigerdirect to get the return info. Finding out that even though tiger direct sold me the part its a intel promo so I couldn't return it directly here and have a new one shipped while returning the bad chip. So i've had to deal with intels support pay about $75 in shipping and test fee's and a extra 2 week wait for intel to recieve and ship me a new cpu out. Nothing is said about this in there warranty info so beware if you get a bad unit you will not be dealing with tigerdirect. They sell it but don't stand behind it, creating a giant headache. After this experience I don't believe i'll order anything from here ever again.
