| Motorola A1200 Unlocked GSM Smartphone Mobile lifestyle has just reached a new level. Motorola's Motorola A1200 smartphone is designed to suit your versatile and fast-paced lifestyle with its multiple organizational features and connectivity. It has a 2-megapixel camera that supports 1600x1200-pixel resolution and video in QCIF format. The camera can take pictures in three resolutions: 1200x1500 pixels, 1027x768 pixels and 640x480 pixels. It also has a self-timer, balance and white setting control as well as picture editing capabilities. Videos may be taken in three resolutions, too, these are 352x88 pixels, 320x240 pixels and 176x144 pixels.
The multitasking sleek smartphone includes a 256,000-color TFT touchscreen with handwriting and speech recognition in Chinese and English. A MicroSD or Trans-Flash expansion slot lets you expand memory, while a mini-USB port lets you connect other mobile phone accessories. It includes a variety of messaging options, a WAP 2.0 xHTML, HTML browser, 8MB built-in memory and an Intel Xscale 312MHz processor. This tiny multimedia machine is all you need to organize your schedule, enjoy media files and take advantage of the latest in mobile technology.
As a media hub, the smartphone functions as an FM radio and an MP3/MP4/AAC+ player. It runs
Linux operating system and works using a Li-Ion 850 mAh battery for up to 200 hours standby

Having GSM technology, the A1200 allows its users to use their phones in many parts of the
world. It supports the GSM technology in the following modes: GSM 1900, GSM 1800, GSM 850
and GSM 900. It can connect via Bluetooth and lets you explore the wireless universe via its
Internet browsing capability. Its embedded Bluetooth module is version 2.0 with A2DP. A2DP technology is the new music revolution the lets users transmit CD quality stereo music from one device to another without wires. A Bluetooth module with A2DP technology makes mobile phones, PDAs and other consumer electronics capable of streaming music directly to other peripherals like a headset or a portable speaker.
Aside from its standard features like calculator, alerts, games, task list, world clock, calendar phonebook and picture phonebook, the unit also supports SMS messaging, EMS, MMS and instant messaging. Its MMS function covers showing an image, a text and accompanying sound. You can choose numerous ringtones in polyphonic and MP3. Moreover, it has Picsel document viewer, a photo editor and a voice dial feature. Not you are connected to everyone and everything anywhere and anytime.
This clamshell smartphone weighs 122g and records 30 dialed, 30 received and 30 missed calls. Many tech fans consider this sleek smartphone a steal with its clear and crisp screen graphics and an adjustable backlight and brightness level. It also includes five shortcut icons that you can customize to suit your needs. On the left of A1200's spine are the volume buttons and a smartkey, which works as ringer and icon control. Chinese software is NOT USA friendly
Phone is setup for Chinese software use only, difficult to change to USA T-Mobile use. Then battery died and won't take a charge. Bad charging circuit in phone. If techie want's to play with phone it might be worth the effort. Unable to dial as all touch screen, no numeric keypad.

made in china
This phone is made in china as its on the back cover. With this phone the touch screen isnt the best. There was no manual for the phone. The sylist for the phone is for small handed people. And also when texting you need a magnifing glass to see the letters. its not a good phone to text. I thought i was nice from the web but when recived its to darn small.if you are looking for something to do all that is not this phone. I would not recommend this phone to anyone. For people with larger fingers do not buy. most of the features are things that normal people would not use. this phone is junk in my thoughts.

Way ahead of it's time, this is a 2006 phone and mine has EDGE, Bluetooth A2DP, Bussines Card scanner, bar code scanner and the games are amazing(PSP Quality games). I have T-Mobile and everything works fine, email, web (Both WAP and HTML), Picture messaging. Awesome Phone and really styllish.
