We have software that requires serial communication for programming our industrial automation control hardware. Since most new PC's (laptops in particular)don't have serial ports anymore, it became a real issue for our customers. The simple design of the Bafo works flawlessly.
This device is very easy to install on XP computers. I could not get it to install on a computer that has Windows 98. This device works well with all devices
I have an IBM T40 laptop and was very disappointed when I realized there was no serial adapter. This was a huge problem because I do a lot of consoling into Cisco Network Equipment. This device works flawlessly for that purpose.
