Thus far this unit has enabled my 12 year old to surf as long as needed without the worry or discomfort of a hot laptop. I can see the benefits of prolonging the life of the enternal components. Thanks

I've had several of these because the whole family has laptops. They all of course, are of the same very, very cheap plastic which was the first disappointment. If you have it on your lap, the cheap plastic casing bends and hits the fans. Highly annoying.
2 of the 3 have broken due to the power cord detaching from the unit after having to move around and plug or unplug the unit to transport. So, the power connection stops working after a while (ours was around 5 months for both to break).
Unit is average. I'm def looking for something BETTER.

bought this onsale for 14.95 to use with
my dell mini 10 that gets pretty heated,
absoulutely does the job not being all
that fancy. cheap and good. my mini
stays cool as a cucumber.well recommended.

I bought this product in June I think - so far its working fine. I do wish the fans were a little bigger as my laptop is on all day long. My laptop is still warm but at least its not hot. So its doing its job for how long I run this computer. So if you are looking for a inexpensive way to keep you computer cool then this would be one option.
