I've gotten two of these great drives to replace my HP workstation hd that was going bad. No regrets they are great, I have a lot of space to install and run any program that I feel like.If you need a hd just go for this one, you will not regret.

This has turned out to be a great workhorse drive. I inserted it into an external FireWire case to use as an A/V media storage disk. After 6 months of constant huge data transfers with our DVR and iMovie/iDVD video creations, this drive has never once presented a problem. It heats up quickly so the enclosure fans start, but that's to be expected with such usage.

In the past , I had a few bad experiences with earlier Maxtor drives. In the most recent year and a half, I have had nothing but good things to say about this drive. So much so, I recommend it to all of my associates. I have 10 300gig drives running on five of my systems.

this drive didnt dissappoint. im a big fan of maxtor, they always deliver a quality product. nice capacity, access speed is great, quiet, SATA is defenetly a plus. the price is great, get it now.

Excellent drive overall. Downloaded the MaxBlast 4 software from the Maxtor's website. Worked OK but some issues with my registry and reinstalling some big programs like Office and Adobe products. Better than losing everything though or having to start from scratch. Even better I grabbed the cloning software and I just sent it back because the transfer was so fast. Didn't even need to open it. Maxtor is great.
