this thing is the coolest fan ur ever gonna see ... looks like an engine .... runs pretty smooth ... has a distinct sound ... so if you want a quiet computer then this is not a thing to buy ... sounds like a jet ... but the main thing is, it does it's work ... keeps the processor super cool ... if ur not big on the sound then this is the best buy ... but m sure u'll love the sound it makes too ....

This cooler IS just ridiculous !!! Wow...NO regrets at all. Having said that I want to point out a couple things for Pentium 4, Socket 478 users with 3 pin motherboard fan attachments.
1) You will need to remove the motherboard to install the socket 478 backing plate. No big deal.
2) You will need to ''jump'' the blue and yellow fan wires at the connector PRIOR to hooking up the fan to the motherboard in order to get max fan speed. Otherwise the fan will only run at the slowest RPM of 1400. This slowest speed will not provide the maximum cooling efficiency of the hyper 48. Jumping the connector will run the fan at the fastest speed to ensure maximum cooling.
3) If you don't want to jump the connector, consider replacing the fan with an ANTEC 92mm fan. ANTEC makes variable speed and fixed speed fans WITH 3 pin fan connectors; but jumping the harness is far less expensive unless you MUST have variable speed.

Awesome cooling! My PC was idling 108c and after installing the cooler master it's idling at 40c.Fan is really quiet also. I highly recommend this product.
