I purchased this TV close to 2 months ago and wanted to wait some time before submitting my review. As my first HD-ready TV, I simply cannot be happier with the purchase. From the moment I put in my order with Tigerdirect, everything just went smoothly and had absolutely no issues at all, big thumbs up to this website.
I will however follow other reviewer's advice to get component cables in order to improve picture quality, I know this will greatly enhance my experience with it. I will suggest that everyone custom adjust the picture settings as the defaults are not the best. |

My first HDTV and for me it is perfect. After I hooked everything up I found the digital cabel was not to great of a picture, but not as bad as everyone is making it out in the reviews. The HD channels are outstanding. Ps2 games are great in progressive. The PC is outstanding. I recommend using a receiver for surround sound, because the factory speakers are only descent. I also receommend using a THX Optimizer for the Video and Audio. After I went through all of the steps I now have a perfect picture for watching movies. A huge difference over factory settings. There was an optimizer on my Akira DVD, and you can also find them on Ebay or Emule. For the money a great buy. |

A great LCD screen for the money - need to custom adjust contrast and brighness as default settings are weak. Sound setting needs to be set based on whether you are receiving stereo or mono signals - garbled sound when set just on stereo. I recommend this unit. |

TigerDirect sent the product as advertised, the TV arrived on-time and no problems in setting it up following the easy to understand users guide. It is best to get the component cables as they do provide the best picture and sound quality. If you look real close at the screen you can see slight flickering (within 3 feet) but at normal veiwing distances nothing but a clear defined picture is visible. I liked the easy set-up and would recommend this product without reservation. Hopefully it will provide many years of reliable service. My wife absolutely loves it! |

Wasn't going to buy based on some bad reviews I read here, but after reading :Reviewed by: oneup on Jul 29, 2005 '' I am convinced these bad ratings can be overturned. I hope to read more positive reviews on this unit with component connections b/f they sell out so I can go and get one.
