I had no issues installing the card but I was disappointed with the lack of software. All I have is volume control, I would have enjoyed a equalizer or a 5.1 sound mixer, something obviously needed with a card designed for those purposes. |

I bought Creaive XFi and it wasn't supported under Ubuntu or any other Linux for that matter so promptly returned it. After bit of research found out the Turtle Beach Riviera works well. So took the chance ordered it, and when I got the card in, I installed it into my system booted up and Ubuntu already had the drives and card was good to go. I love it, the sound is excellent and I high recommend it to anyone in the market for a sound card for Ubuntu Linux or just want a good card for an inexpensive price. |

This card has a few problems with Vista sp1. It using old drivers that Vista SP1 no longer supports. It has crash my computer due to this problem with tons of BSOD. Only repair is go back to XP or buy a new sound card. DO NOT BUY THIS CARD IF YOU HAVE VISTA! Before SP1 the card work GREAT. |

Hooked up my PC to my home theater sound systems to play music. Used the optical connection. Sound great! Much better than the original sound card. |

Card works great. I have an Audigy2 in my other computer and I can't hear a difference between the two when using the same speakers. Have not had any compatability problems with any games or my ancient Altec Lansing speakers that I currently use with it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because on a brand new computer the driver installation program kept freezing and the failed installation prevented me from booting windows. I booted in safe mode and fixed the problem but this should not be required. Still a great product though and inexpensive too. May not be the best choice for a hardcore gamer/audio guy but for a budget machine it works great. |
