Excellent value!
I'm so pleased with this Toshiba. I was looking to replace a bulkier computer which was a real pain to lug around. I looked at netbooks but wanted something with more computing power. I finally settled on this. I'm not able to give a thorough technical review but I'll tell why it's great for me. I love the battery life. The portability is wonderful, this is a breeze to carry along if you need to take your computer with you. I purchased an external drive which was reasonably priced and it works fine so this is not an issue for me. I really like the feel of the keyboard--feels crisp to me and not mushy like some I've used. So far my only complaints: 1. The display is glossy and I prefer the matte type on my older laptop which really cuts down on all the reflections. 2. The speakers are at the bottom front of the computer making it harder to hear sometimes. I believe this could be fixed with external speakers if I want them. Overall I'm happy with this purchase.

Good machine for the $$$
This computer is sold out everywhere which should tell you something. If you are looking for a small form factor computer much more useful then a netbook this is it. Only down side is no optical drive but USB drives are plentiful and work well. Avery attractive computer for a young person who needs one for school but won't break the bank. Toshiba gets good marks for reliabilty also. Over all very happy I bought this for my colledge student Girl friend.
