Very good DVD Burner. Have had it over a year now and have burnt tons of DVD/CD's. It was the only drive in my system for over a year until I purchased Battle for Middle Earth 2 from a friend which was CD version. This drive wouldn't recognize the CD's for some reason and I had to install an older CD-ROM.

Great product! I've had this for several months now ordered through TD. Couldn't ask for more, the first burner was defective but TD sent one out the day I called - fluke thing but TD took care of it. Definately would buy another.

Great burner but not impressed with Nero as its bundled software. Purchase separate media software to use for burning CD's or watching videos.

I bought this for 10$ in a bundle. I got it and put it in and started installing the software. When I started installing it, it asked me for the serial number(the serial number didn't come with it). after going through technical support I found out that only NERO DEMO VERSION(which didnt work) came with it. I downloaded the nero 7 trial version and was able to test the drive.
overall this is a good drive but make you have burning and decoding software before you buy this

Bought as a bundle with the ISS for $5 after rebates! Was a little skeptical as to what to expect for such a price but wasn't disappointed at all. Nero 6 that comes with the burner is simple has not let me burn a dud yet. As for the burner, I'm on DVD #23 without a single one messed up yet. Even without the rebates, the burner is well worth every penny. Tiger delivers yet again!
A DVD-R and
DVD+R share similarities in that they are both write-once formats, they
both have single-sided capacities of 4.7GB, they both need finalization
after recording for broad playback, and both can be used for either data
storage or video applications. The major difference is that they are not
interchangeable when it comes to recording. Because each format writes information
to its corresponding disc differently, DVD+R discs must be recorded by
a +R drive or video recorder, and DVD-R discs must be recorded by a -R drive
or video recorder. Once recorded, they share similar playback compatibility.
