With transmission rates up to 150Mbps, it delivers performance enhancements, allowing you to have a more joyful surfing experience, including sharing files, watching streaming media and internet callings.
- Range Extender Mode - Signal Booster: TP-LINK TL-WA730RE is designed to select Range Extender mode as the default wireless mode, working as a signal booster to relay the wireless signal and increase the distance over which a WLAN signal can spread, overcoming obstacles and enhancing overall network signal quality. It can also work at the conventional AP mode, accessing the Internet via ADSL/Cable modem and linking the wireless and wired network together.
- One Button for Connection: TL-WA730RE features Range Extender Button that allows users to setup the wireless connection with the unsecured network simply by pressing the "Range Extender" button for about 5 seconds. This is OK for a small boost. Turn a weak signal into a less weak one, but is not sufficient to bring a signal across 50' to a detached garage. My phone reads -45dB right next to it, but quickly drops to -60 3 feet away, and -70 through a simple wall.
Setup interface is a custom Windows program, no WWW interface. Loose that disk (or don't have a windows computer) and you are out of luck. |

I couldn't get wireless service on my back porch for using my tablet. I ordered one. The setup was straightforward and easy using the supplied utility to search for and sign on to the correct network. Then, upon moving it to a high shelf in the kitchen where there was still decent signal, I find I can not only use my wireless network on the porch but all the way out to my unattached garage on the alley even while in the car with the windows closed. I bought another for my daughter. her landlord provides wireless to the apartment building but she could not get signal in her bedroom for her new Google TV. After setting up the repeater and positioning it properly (again, really easy), every room in the three bedroom apartment gets five bars on every device. really cool for only 35 bucks. |
Extender works like its supposed to.

Great value, performs wonderful. Even with the manual setup, setup was easy. Recommended to anyone needing to fill a blank spot in coverage, especially cause its at least half of what all the others cost. |

did what it was supposed to do, and easy to install. I don't know what the other complaints are about, because there was simply nothing to it, other than following the instructions that came with the unit.
