These days a plain vanilla single CD player seems to be somewhat of a rarity. However this Phillips all disk (except blue) player is an excellent substitute. Personally I prefer refurbished gear since some technician, who actually knows how it works, has had to look inside and make sure it is up to spec. The price this site is letting these things go for was less than what I had to pay for a pair of headphones and a small phone amplifier!! It even comes with another remote to add to your collection! |

Roughly one (1) month ago, I saw this product in your website, and it looked like a great deal, so I purchased it. So, after using it sporadically for the month (it is in my master bedroom), I have to say that i have encountered no problems, the DVD's play well, and the overall operation of the machine is recommended. Great DVD player!
We try to make our electronics last as long as possible, but we finally needed a new DVD player.They made it affordable by offering a quality product at a good price. Refurbished products are one way we can reduce our electronic waste and save money without compromising quality. As a matter of fact you can think of it this way: the person that originally purchased the product tested it out for you and any glitches were fixed by professionals so....don't be afraid to buy the refurbs! |

When this first came in the box, I was amazed that it looked so well for a refurbished product. Thre were no aesthetical problems anywhere on it. We watched Total Recall for the first movie, and the picture quality was amazing. Every detail was there! This player is a great buy for your money, except with shipping and having to buy a HDMI cable, it suddenly cost around 60$, but still a great deal. |

High Definition And How Is It Different From Standard Definition?
High Definition or "HD" is a
technological leap forward from standard definition, with up to 6x the
picture resolution, so that what you see is sharper and more realistic. Regular TVs and the TV channels you watch
at home are typically in standard definition (unless you watch HD channels).
DVD are also in standard definition. Standard definition (480i & 480p)
is lower quality than high definition. Many older TV sets are standard
def, and can only show standard def content (programming). Many new
TVs are called High Definition TVs (HDTV). They are capable of showing
high def content in: 720p, 1080i, and 1080p, all high definition
formats, but 1080p provides the highest picture quality of them all.
