Subscription-Free Traffic
The NAVIGON 7100 includes the industry's only subscription-free traffic so you can be advised on traffic flow and incidents, as well as alternate routes. Real-time traffic works out of the box without additional fees.
 Features that Let the Driver Focus on the Road
Turn-by-turn directions and spoken road names via text-to-speech allow drivers to keep their eyes on the road. Bluetooth® technology enables hands-free mobile phone integration. "Lane Assistant" recommends the optimal lane the driver should be in relative to the route. "Reality View" guides with photo-realistic 3D images of complex intersctions. I dont think it can be beat for the price range, super faetures, great display, I really like Reality View. The Bluetooth works good too. Updating by the Navigon website was easy too, and the update includes the latest maps at no charge. |

This unit for the price is worth every penny. The Bluetooth works very well. I don't really have signal problems like some others seem to have. I get a signal within a minute or two once unit is turned on. If you are tech savvy and know that you have to go to Navigon's website to register and update your device then it's not very difficult. I would recommend this device to anyone especially at $150. |

the best feature i liked was free lifetime traffic subscription.. some times when i start the GPS it doesn't not receive gps signal.. need to wait for 5 to 10 minutes to get the signal.. but once you get the signal it rocks.. signal issue started recently.. may be it could be because of my rough handling |

I have the 7100. For those that are complaining (negative map reviews) you certainly have not done things correctly. You don't have to purchase updated maps unless you are purchasing FRESH MAPS. Fresh Maps fits on a 4G SD card instead but it is not necessary to purchase, it is OPTIONAL. Downside about this device is that you have to search hard for the updates to download. Navigon does not make it user friendly to access. Even for some tech suave folks find it challenging getting. The upgrade also happens to be the full software package and is FREE. However, you must activate / register your device in order to access it. After you get the software, you may encounter errors with SD card. To fix this problem you must format the SD card. (Dont worry, the software upgrade is also the full version.) You may have to do this a few times (at least I had to reformat and load 3 times) before it all fit onto the same SD card. Mine takes 5 mins before it locking GPS signal. |

BUY IT!
the best GPS i have ever had. it made driving on the Free-way a piece of cake, and this is coming from someone who never even considered taking the free way prior to having Navigon 7100.
the only GPS with (lane assistance), therefore it tells you which lane you should be on so you wont find yourself in an exit.(it happens), and with a feature called (Reality View) you will be able to see whether the lane you are on is good or you need to change it way before it's too late. (avoids accidents)
Before the trip, your route is 100% customizable.
and if there is any traffic congestion or constructions on your route, a message will
pop up giving you the option to change your route (did i mention this service is free for life?)
I bought it when it was more than $400 and it was worth every penny!!! |
