For anyone who can't afford a Quad (i7) at the moment but still want the processing power of a Quad Core should get this! It is a DUAL Core but the Hyper-Threading give it 4 cores for HT and the 2 physical cores. It runs pretty much anything you throw at it (for now) and most likely wont be the bottleneck in your system.
I would recommend this to anyone!

This with a Gigabyte ga-p55a-ud2. On air (big heatsink) i've got it to 3.8 ghz without any voltage changes... i'm guessing i can get it to at least 4.0. Not bad for the price. :)

I upgraded my kids computer, that was previously a Core2 at 1.86Ghz, with a Ge6200 card - from a few years back. That was an OK computer, and the Core2 was a great processor at it's price to. I wanted to spend a couple hundred bucks total for an upgrade, and my kid plays WOW quite a bit. To much. WAY to much, but that's another issue altogether....
In any case, I looked at a much faster processor (Quad Core) OR a much faster Video Card for the other computer, either one of which would have cost me my couple hundred bucks, and still would have had the problem of the remaining CPU or Video being slow.
Instead, I decided to spend my $200 on new MotherBoard and this CPU, and wow! WOW plays great! Fast CPU with Fast Graphics - great value for $130 CPU. Best of all, if we later decide to upgrade to a i5, we get BOTH a CPU and a Graphics Card upgrade just by changing the CPU. VERY pleased, and of course, this site rocked with fast shipping. :)

First bad CPU I ever got. Was recognized by the motherboard, but not all the features seemed to be available based on the BIOS report. Also failed all the benchmark tests I tried. The replacement works fine and performs as expected
