These headphones dont feel like they will ever break. The construction is quite solid and the sound is superb. The one weakness is bass. And while you can resolve this by turning the volume up. They are a little weak unless they are turned up. But other wise they are amazing!!

The Shure SE110 earphones are a fantastic entry level sound isolating earphones. They block about 90% of outside sound; this means you don't have to crank the volume up to enjoy the music. Bass response if good if you have a good seal between the earphones and your ear.

I have used a couple pairs of Shure headphones, including a pair that cost twice as much as these, and these definately give the most bang for the buck. To the previous reviewer who complained about lack of bass response, be sure that you push these FULLY into your ear -- they don't just perch on the outside like earbuds, you've got to really shove them in. If they don't make a tight seal in your ear canal, there will be no bass... once their properly fitted, the bass will blow you away! If you have unusual sized or shaped ear canals, you might need to try one of the other foam or rubber ear inserts.

Just received my Sure SE110. What a disappointment. While they are very well made and fit well, there is absolutly no bass response whatsoever. I have a Sansa MP-3 player that has a 5 band EQ on it and even with the bass setting all the way up, these earbuds produce no bass response at all. The cheap earbuds that came with the Sansa player sound much better but they won't stay in my ears.
If you enjoy music, the SE110's are not a good choice.
