You'd expect the BlackBerry® Storm™ smartphone to be able to send and receive emails, from various accounts. It's a BlackBerry smartphone after all. But it has so much more to give. Take its soft-touch screen, which responds to your fingertip commands, its 3.25" high-resolution display that brings pictures to life and its 3G connection that will have you browsing the internet at super-fast speeds. High-resolution soft-touch screen
- The first thing you'll notice with the BlackBerry Storm smartphone is its huge 3.25" high-resolution screen (480 X 360 pixels). Turn it on and it bursts into colour - 65,000 colours to be precise. The wide-screen display gives you crystal clarity even when you're outdoors.
- When you touch the screen you'll notice it's soft under your fingertips. Just swipe over it and press down to make things happen.
Multiple keyboard options
- When it comes to messaging, everyone's different. So you can choose from one of three styles of keyboard. Choose from SureType® (predictive) and Multi-tap (multiple keypress) in portrait if you're dashing off a quick message or turn the phone to landscape and use the on-screen QWERTY keyboard for longer messages.
Expandable memory
- You can carry your documents or your favourite tunes around with you. Its 1GB built-in memory can hold around 250 songs. If you want even more music with you just expand the memory by 16GB (using a plug in MicroSD™ memory card – not included) giving you enough space for another 4000 or so tracks.
Battery and adapter
- To recharge, or simply run your mobile phone on mains power, use its +5V DC/500 mA AC power adapter which comes with interchangeable, location-specific plugs.

I traded up to the Storm from my 8830 World Edition and I haven't missed a beat on reception. Tons of pros with only two cons so far, the touchscreen takes practice for those of us with fat fingers and you have to be careful not to hit the mute button with your cheek on a call. Otherwise, it's everything the iPhone was supposed to be PLUS expandable memory (came with 8gb card) and RIM's superior quality. With 4g right around the corner, this is the phone to have for anyone on the go. Oh, did I mention it has a 3.2mp camera with 2x optical zoom? I'm not loosing my iPod just yet but I will match my Storm against AT&T's iPhone any day of the week and twice on Sunday. |

I've had the Storm for a few weeks and think it is great. So far I have not had any trouble and the internet works great. After coming from a different brand PDA, this is a HUGE improvement. |

First time I saw this device I thought that's it, iPhone is DEAD (wishful thinking), but then I realized Verizon (currently running CDMA2000 and EV-DO) is on the verge of launching LTE at the end of 2009, AT&T is also going LTE, with planned downlink speeds of 100MB/sec on 2x2 MIMO and 326MB/sec 4x4 MIMO (LG currently getting 60MB/sec downlink w/ early chipsets) CDMA2000 and UMTS (2 of the current 3G options) getting at best 2MB/sec in optimal conditions I'll wait until AT&T's LTE network is ready to fly in early 2010, more for encryption fall back when roaming UMTS or GSM rather than encoding on CDMA. Bottom line wait 1 to 1.5 years and you'll see much better speeds w/ all the bells and whistles this thing carries. |

I have been usinmg the Storm since it first came out, it is a good idea but poorly implemented. The biggest problem is buggy software (I used to get alot more accomplished with an old Blackberry Pearl. It is interesting to try something new but disspaointing when it wastes as much time as this phone has for me. Internet speed does not feel like DSL.

Expansion Memory!
Many cellular phones come with a slot
for expansion memory, such as: Mini or MicroSD, MemoryStick Micro, or
others. Expansion memory is a great way to safeguard photos, contact
lists, and other files. On our product pages, we may show photos or
diagrams of how this memory is inserted and used with the phone for
informational purposes, since we try to be as comprehensive in our
explanation of each phone's features and functions as possible.
However, additional expansion memory cards are NOT included with the phone
(unless explicitly stated).
Remember, regardless of the
brand of your phone, use only compatible micro/mini SD, or memory stick
cards, approved by your phone's manufacturer for use with your device. This
is because not all expansion memory is designed for the same specifications
(such as read/write speeds and capacity). Incompatible cards may
damage the card and the device and corrupt data stored on the card.
Also, when inserting a memory
card into your phone, your phone may prompt to format the memory card.
When a memory card is reformatted, all data on the card is permanently lost.
Some memory cards are supplied preformatted and others require formatting.
Consult your memory card's user guide to find out if you must format the
memory card before you can use it. If you are using a memory card in
your phone that was used on another device, such as a digital camera, or a
PC, exercise caution as viruses can be transferred in this way. Never
insert a memory card into a computer that does not have up-to-date antivirus
software. Only open files on the memory card that are known safe.
When in doubt, insert the card in a compatible computer and run a antivirus
scan.

2. Supplier will not accept returns or process exchanges on phones that have physical damage or have been wet. We're sorry, but if you damage it, they can't accept it back. In the very rare event that your phone is damaged when you receive it the damage must be reported within 72 hours of receipt. In these cases we will issue a return authorization and EXCHANGE the damage phone for a like or similar model depending on availability, provided the serial number matches.
3. Supplier will not accept returns or process exchanges on phones damaged by water or any liquids. We know it might've been an accident, but whether it suffered a small splash of water or a swim in an ocean, they can't take it back. There are test indicators in the phone that let the supplier know that the handset has been wet. |
