Added it to my PowerBook Titanium G4 so I'd have USB 2.0 capability. It works without a hitch. The laptop recognized it instantly (no need to download drivers). Great buy!

I am mre than just impressed! My old HP dv1000 has been rescued! I had just lost my last usb terminal, the others were worn or broken and i was getting worried, because I don't have the money to buy a new laptop or pc. I bought the Zonet with little understanding of just what I needed. It works great, in fact I am using it right now! It does great for anything I use it for! The quality, price, and performance are great and I got it in just 3 days!!!!!!!! Thanks Tiger!

Works OK, but others need to realize that even a 3 yr old Laptop wasn't designed to push 4-5+ Volts out of a basic PCI/ISA output/input Card slot! Some may wish to just use a nice 4 to 7 port USB Hub & also use a plugin Power supply to keep the Voltage at the right levels! I can run one USB port & zero others off an add-on card, so just did the math volts/Mil-Amps and needs... for the price they are fine, a Camera, External Drive and/or anything else drawing juice will pull way too much off a 400-Mil-amp card slot!
Also: USB 2.0 requires XP-sp2 to work ie: drivers etc., at 1.1 speed it still pulls too many M-amps... If 2 ports are needed at Full power then go with a Hub! Use cardbus for Memory or other input/output needs-Sound, Ram-boost, etc.

The arrival time was great. Plugged the product in windows recognized it right away. Set up, says working properly however nothing that I plug in will work, not even the smallest thumb drive, and the cable that came with the adapter will not fit this adapter. I would not recommend this one.

What Is USB 2.0?
USB 1.1 was great when it was introduced almost a decade ago. But
the newer USB 2.0 transfers data dramatically faster - up to 40 times
quicker. Plus, USB 2.0 provides additional bandwidth for multimedia and
storage applications, which are growing larger every year. Also to your
advantage is the fact that USB 2.0 is forward and backward compatible with
USB 1.1, which means that cables and connectors made for the original USB
configuration will also work perfectly in a USB 2.0 port, though some newer
devices are specifically designed for USB 2.0. It is always a good
idea to verify the version of USB supported by each device you want to use.
