Would buy again
I'm running two of these together, mirrored in RAID mode 1, running Linux Mint 16. No problems. I learned that you set up your RAID drive BEFORE you install the operating system.
Phenomenal drive at a great price
When this drive went on sale, I jumped on it. The reviews were excellent, and the drive did not disappoint. I was upgrading from a 120 gig Kingston HyperX SSD, so i didn't expect to notice any real performance change. Boy was i wrong! This drive was nearly as big an upgrade to my HyperX SSD as my HyperX SSD was to my old spinning drive!
Nice drive!
I upgraded from a Sammy 830, which performed very well. I used Seagate's free DiscWizard to transfer my Windows 8.1 system to the 600 Pro and it worked great. I can't say for sure, but opening programs does seem a little faster. Benchmarks place this drive faster than the 830 but slower than the 840 pro... but this drive is (less expensive) and still has a 5 year warranty and is ''enterprise'' grade. Five stars for value and great performance, even if it's not the fastest SSD in the world.

Got 2 of these they both work fine. No compatibility issues. SMART enabled works without problems. Super fast, super reliable, super durable. This is an enterprise drive not a wimpy mass produced consumer level drive.
I am a tech genius so all this is true.
