The H50006 is a V.92 56K Fax modem that is built with a Agere (Lucent) chipset. It offers reliability and stable connections that allow user to access the Internet painlessly. With the Faxtalk software, users can also use this device as a fax machine, and the Modem Net On Hold feature allows users who have call waiting to pick up phone calls without getting disconnected from the Internet. With just a few clicks, the user will be able to resume the connection after finishing the phone call.

Works as good and more expensive cards. I repair and build systems for a living and when building I like to use slot devices in lieu of motherboard hardware installed on the boards. Usually I sell USB Modems to save customers money on installation, but this little modem works well and is a great alternative. |

I purchased this modem based on feedback from other purchasers. Glad I read the reviews! The modem worked great with Vista! I installed it in about two minutes, started the computer, it found the hardware and auto installed necessary drivers, configurations, etc in about 30 seconds and I was up and running. First truly plug-n-play piece of computer equipment I have ever purchased. I highly recommend it, especially if you are running Vista. |

I upgraded to Windows 7 Professional and could not find a driver for the one I was using. I started searching and read the reviews on one that would work with Windows 7. I felt it was a very good value and purchased it. I am very satisified with this modem. I felt the shipping was a little high but received in a few days. |

My other modem would not work on Comcast cable broadband. Plugged it in using Win 7 64 bit and windows installed a LSI driver. Windows update even installed a newer one a day later. Works great. |
