Good, solid laptop
This is not a snazzy, sleek, ultra-thin laptop like is so popular. It's more like an older person's computer. I don't mean that it's like wearing sensible shoes, but more that it's about function over form. It has all the bells and whistles (3 USB 3.0 ports, for example), has a great battery, and only weighs 4.7 pounds. Still, it has the center track pointer (pencil eraser) on it like back in the old Toshiba laptop days. It's a great price for all that you get (including Windows 7 with a free upgrade to Windows 8, if you want...I didn't since it's not a touch-screen). Still, I've had it a month, and I'm very pleased with it overall.

Great Laptop
I am very pleased with this laptop. It boots faster than any computer I have ever used. It has Windows 8 and I was worried about that but I have been very happy with its performance. I did add another 4 GB to the laptop for a total of 8 GB. I am a computer technician with over 10 years of experience repairing computers.

Not quite the sum of it's parts
Looking at the specs for this laptop, it's a sweet combination of parts. Unfortunately its not put together particularly well. Mine came with a broken wifi card which had to get fixed under warrentee. Also, the keys scratch the screen when the lid is closed because they are too close together. For some reason it takes 3gb of ram just to load the operating system, and that's after I went into the config and shut all the usual crap down. Perhaps it has something to do with the lenovo specific software that operates the hardware. Overall, its an impressive list of features but the build quality is lacking.
