First build, the best so far!

I bought this for a $1000 system that I am building. I got it on sale for $199, and it is a huge speed boost from my 2ghz pentium laptop processor. The built in graphics were not as bad as I expected, but I did upgrade to a fancy graphics card. I haven't overclocked it, but overclocking is nice to have.

Great deal and quality!

I also got this on sale recently for $199 and have been really happy with it. The purpose for my computer is virtual machines and gaming. Pros: Runs fast efficient Stable over-clocking Has handles up to 4 active virtual machines (Alongside with overclockable 16GB RAM) Has not bottlenecked my GPU so it's run pretty much anything alongside my GTX 760 on max settings. cons: Runs pretty hot! I have tons of fans but even with my video card under it needs to be cooled down even before over-clocking. The Heat-sink does its best but doesn't keep it cool. My Corsair H60 has kept it from running under 50C. As expected, pretty shotty thermal paste that I had to reapply after I moved the heat-sink. recommendations: Get an after-stock cooler and some Arctic silver (thermal paste) and keep them handy! Otherwise was a great deal! Once I get home I'll see if I can edit this post with benchmarks. :)

Fast Processor!!!

Runs every game I can throw at it ! (this and my 7870 SLI setup :D )

Crazy fast

This is a crazy fast processor, that definitely gives bang for the buck (I paid 209$, on sale). Everything runs faster than I could have ever imagined (financial modeling and some gaming).

Quality at a reasonable price

Bought this with the deal for $200. Well worth the money. Able to overclock and the performance is fantastic. Always have and always will choose Intel. Set up with a corsair closed loop liquid cooling system and the CPU does not get hot.

Great CPU + GPU

This chip is a solid performer. I paired it with a Z87 mobo, and 2400 Mhz Team dual channel memory stick. The beast flies. It is 4 times faster than my 4 years old AMD Phenom X3 8650, and up to 6 times faster in graphics than my older Radeon HD 4650 graphics card. That's right, unless you do hardcore gaming at max settings, this CPU also provides enough beef to run a full desktop, you don;t need a separate graphics card. This makes the CPU a good value. Cons? Only 4 threads, so if you need lots of parallel computing power, it will be a bit limited. And it runs frigging hot, as pointed out by everyone else. I am scoring almost 15000 in geekbench, with the bit of overclocking the CPU allows me to on stock cooling plus arctic silver 5.

AMD to Intel convert because of this chip

I've always been an AMD fan, but decided to checkout the latest Haswell chips when I noticed they were a good deal. I usually bought AMD for their good value. I am incredibly impressed and now understand why Intel fans can be so pompous. They really are great chips. These ones in particular run very cool and very fast. Intel chips in the past have been great, but these Haswells kick butt.

Great CPU, they had it on sale for $200!, best deal on the interwebs I've foud. Shipping was fast and I'm very happy ordering through here. I tried out the stock cooler, it's not bad if you're not overclocking.

One of the best cpu in the market

I use to be AMD fan, so i decided to go with intel this time, I don't regret it, now i know why intel is ahead of the game, no ofence AMD, very easy to overclock i have this cpu on asus z87 pro mobo, corsair h100i cooler, cpu idles at 30 C at 4Ghz, my window system rating went to 7.7 enough said.

Great CPU

As stated above, one should invest in an aftermarket cooler. In my case it was a Corsair H90 liquid cooler. The CPU is super fast when connected to a SSD - 15 seconds to boot up.
