Probably not as fast as you expect.
Put this drive in my MBP 2010 and yes, there is a speed increase. Not a huge amount but a speed increase is there. I would MUCH rather the prior 7200 rpm model as it showed significant better speeds than this semi-crippled 5400 rpm model. Simply put I don't feel the drive lives up to the hype. As a minor improvement in speed it's fine but otherwise it's only real accomplishment is being a near terabyte.

Nice drive
Now that it's been running on my laptop for a bit, I've notice the speed increase for booting up windows 7 as well as when windows shuts down. The media capacity is a great improvement over the 320G drive that it replaces. It's also quieter than the old drive. Over all, fantastic upgrade. Would not hesitate in doing it again.

Save my time
It works great, reduce the boot uptime by a mile. I love it!! I can keep my older PC for another year.

Good Harddrive. Snapier than HDD
I notice the difference between a regular HDD and this hybrid drive. Boot times are lower and my most used applications are quick.

Awsome little drive
bought this drive for a build for a friend as he had a 120gb ssd and a 1000gb for storage but he was not very computer knowledgeable and the ssd would fill up and I would have to go over to move files over to the storage than I seen these and picked one up and installed it within seconds,awesome little drive not as fast as a ssd maybe by 2-3 seconds but its fast enough and the storage 1000gb for less than 100$ couldn't go wrong

Amazing little device!!
This drive offers so much room and boots in seconds in spite of the 5400 rpm disk drive. Just make sure you have a 2.5 inch bay or adapter. A lot of bang for the buck!

I have seen a ssd and removed it to put two of these in. Wow did not notice any slow down at all i will be looking for more
