dont buy
lasted 4 months. now bad battery according to software. it was used twice for brief power failure of less than 10 seconds. last ultra product i buy. this is not the first of there products i have had problems with.

WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER BATTERY
When I tried to get my Systemax Ultra UPS fixed, they told me that the battery is NOT COVERED by the warranty. So, if you're past your 30-day return window, you don't have ANY warranty on your UPS battery. It could fail at any moment and you just lose your investment in that battery entirely. Maybe it's time to find a better brand.

Its not A deal!
I bought this to protect my new system. It lasted 2.5 years, New batteries did not help it and good luck trying to get it repaired plus I now have to pay $50 to dispose of it Bad Deal all around

Completely Dead after 2 years of mild use
Unit completely died after only two years and the manufacture will not replace the unit because I did not fill out the warranty card - even through I have the original box, invoice, packing slip, and paperwork.

Could Improve Design
The push-button illuminated switch is easily broken and the transparent push button purple plastic needs reinforcement at its fulcrum or latch point. An indicator of the remaining energy in the battery or at least a voltmeter display needs to be added.

Great Budget UPS
Easy to set up -- has software to monitor line conditions with a dashboard - and automatically shut down server after failure of power. Only drawback is no report window on unit. for an extra $50 you can buy a unit with one

Xfinity 1000
Easy to install, Easy to use, not very dependable, only atached to an 8 watt flourescent light, will run it for less than 3 minutes on power failure, which we have had twice since installing. I have not tried to contact manufacturer yet.

Works great
I odered this item just prior to Hurrican Issac, luckily I didn't need it but it works great! It's quiet, and easy to set up.
