Bad WLAN adapter
This laptop cannot see my 802.11N 5GHz WLAN. It is not a driver issue because I've updated the drivers. This laptop uses the Atheros AR9485 Wireless Network Adapter. This adapter is buggy. I've experienced poor performance with this adapter. Streaming videos is very choppy. I intend to replace the WLAN adapter. Overall the laptop is good. But ASUS just used a bad WLAN adapter.

Excellent product and excellent valule
This computer was actually for my wife, not for me, but I set it up for her. The system is fast and smooth. The speakers sound very good, much better than my old notebook. I took out the hard disk to clone it, and it is very easy to remove. (Tip: If you have to force anything, you are doing it wrong. The cover slides out easily, and as does the hard disk bracket). Good price. I like Windows 7 more than Windows 8, so that is a nice touch. My wife is very pleased with it.

Good notebook for a good price.
A good notebook that performs well. I highly recommend it as I do most Asus products. Only downside is that I had to wait 3 weeks due to over selling and TigerDirect's price protection plan doesn't apply to notebooks or anything with a hard drive, CPU, memory etc. The price had dropped $90 between order and delivery. All ways check the fine print.
