Good basic toaster
This is a good basic toaster that does a good job of evenly browning standard bread and average bagels. Several items are worth noting because they aren't evident from the pictures. The darkness indicator is not actually a numeric LED. It's a printed disk attached to the knob, backlit by a single LED. This backlight LED is lit continuously when the toaster is plugged in. It's a trivial amount of power, but it feels wasteful. A second point is that the 'Bagel' button only extends the toast cycle. On our previous toaster and most other current models it shuts off one heating element so that only a single side is toasted. The other buttons appear to be similar adjustments to the toasting time, rather than changing the power level.

Good Toaster even Better Deal
A toaster is not a complex device. The device works because of the electrical resistance of the wiring material and a thermostat which tells the device when to stop toasting. The complexity is finding one that is reasonably priced.

Got a Great Deal
Nice-looking toaster, glad I got the black one. Toasts the bottom a little darker than the top, but I can live with that.

Works Well
Have not used but a few times, but it seems to toast very nicely. Love the bagel width slots. Very nice looking and love the funtions and features of this toaster.
