Really a very nice laptop.
I've always liked Acer's build quality and the V5 series does not disappoint. The first thing I did with this was clone the HDD to a Samsung 840 SSD and it boots within 4 - 5 seconds. It is very quiet and very cool running. The backlit keys are nice in a dark room and the touch screen is very responsive. The screen isn't 1080 but is nice and crisp. Overall I'm very satisfied with my purchase. I didn't like Windows 8 when it came out but it seems to make much more sense with a touch screen.

Great Price for Touch Laptop
This is the lowest price point I've seen for a touch Win 8 laptop. It's got a nice screen, but it's a little heavy. Haven't used it enough yet to comment on battery life. Performance is just OK. I feel it should be faster with an I5 than it seems to be -- especially when multiple processes are running. The touch pad is sensitive for moving the cursor and gets in the way when typing sometimes. Interestingly, it's clunky to click -- gotta hit the exact lower right corner to get a right click. The touchscreen is just OK. Good for tapping, but not dragging. Dragging tiles isn't very easy.
