Pioneer Internal 15X Blu-Ray Burner
The Pioneer Blu-Ray Burner is your solution for a blazing fast optical drive. This internal SATA drive can burn up to 15x on BD-R (25GB) media and up to 14x on BD-R dual layer (50GB) media. It can also play and burn data in most DVD and CD formats so you will never need another drive in your computer. Moreover, this drive is 3D capable so you just need to pair it with 3D enabled devices and you are ready to enjoy movies that jump right out of your display. Other notable features are the QuickPlay and Noise Suppression design, which enables fast disc reading and minimized noise respectively. And last but not least, its Precision Writing technology reduces write errors to ensure high-quality output each and every time.

100% happy
For the price I don't think you could do much better than this Pioneer BDR. I haven't tested the 3D aspect, but all other playback and burning (BD, DVD, CD) work as expected and appear plenty fast. Very pleased.

Can't beat the price
Works as expected. No cables, so be forewarned. It does suffer a bit from video playback, but burning has not been an issue at all.

Nice Drive, nice price, but 'riplocked'
Works great under Ubuntu 12.04, but will not read a video disk faster than 2x (regardless of bios settings). Writes BluRay and DVD fine. Unless someone still offers a non-riplocked drive, I'd recommend this.

Excellent equipment
Didn't come with cables, but OEM never does, I knew that from the get go. Have not used it to burn anything yet so can't say much more about it but it is very quiet when spinning up installing a game.
