Software download failed
I am still successfully using Windows XP Professional and CD provided would not download. Appears you must have Windows 7 or better. A waste of time and effort to purchase.

I am no computer guru but I'm not stupid either. The instructions that came with this item were useless. The only thing that I could figure out is how to plug it in. From that point on it was midnight.

I bought this item to burn disks for a group of 70 outbased employees. Flashdrives were getting expensive to replace and this unit works really fast, is very easy to use and the disks are cheaper to replace then flashdrives saving our program quite a bit of money over the long run.

Fantastic product and awesome deal
Purchased this DVD burner to go with my new Samsung Ultrabook and works awesome. I have over a dozen Samsung products in my home and will continue to buy Samsung. I have had many other brands in the past but Samsung has always been there for me. Never had a problem with this brand, so don't be skeptic when spending a little extra for a Samsung product. But I did get a great deal for this one, so don't hesitate to buy one for yourself, friend or family. Fantastic product

Does what it is supposed to
Bought this to put my Office suite on my Surface Pro. Worked great for that and now it is the ODD that I leave plugged into my newest rig (I opted not to put an ODD in it). I had some trouble recognizing that it was working. It was working the whole time but I kept trying to discover it in device manager. Don't. Just plugN'Play.
