GREAT FOR ADDING CABLE TV TO YOUR COMPUTER
EASY TO INSTALL. EASY TO USE. BRINGS ME ALL OF MY CABLE STATIONS TO A WINDOW I CAN SIZE AND STILL KEEP ON WORKING IN EXCEL.

Kworld UB445-U2 USB-TV Tuner
I just got this tuner & installed the software on my laptop & high end PC. I am using Win7 32 & 64 bit. The software didn't install all of the options as listed by using the Quick Installation option on the CD so I had to manually install the Total Media and Remote Control software. The picture quality is sad. I am using it connected directly to my cable provider. The box hypes that it's got HDTV 1080i support but in reality, the picture looks like it's less than VHS quality (if you're old enough to know what that is). Audio is OK. It picked up the cable TV channels easily enough so no complaints there. The software is clunky and doesn't give you many options. It did record programs OK at about the quality of VHS. I did try the external antenna and it found 0 channels. I tried using a larger rabbit ear digital antenna and it got 1 out of about 35 in the Orlando area. FM channel reception was bad. I expected better from the reviews.

Super Product ... needs better software interface
Installed easily on Win 7 64bit. The included drivers work fine, but the included viewer software presented a panel with a smaller embedded TV screen. Not very many options either. Went to KWorlds website and found a downloadable program called TiVme which was associated with a different tv tuner stick, but it works Great with this tuner. Be sure to get the TiVme download!

Works Great!
I bought this because I was going to be hospitalized for a while and didn't want to pay $11 a day for TV. It works great on my i3 laptop. The picture quality is outstanding, and I get all of the channels in the Toronto area. The video capture is a bonus. I was able to connect it to my PVR to record shows to take with me as well. The video quality isn't high as it only has RCA or S-Video connections, but it does work.
