Good sound bar, bargain price
No problem putting them together. It comes with everything you'll ever need for all sorts of configurations. Can be a bit daunting when you first open the box, but just follow the simple directions and you'll be up and running in no time. I don't have HDMI out on my TV so couldn't use that option. My TV doesn't have RGB out either, so I opted for the headphone jack. Just plug into the TV and connect to the speakers, couldn't be simpler. The speakers work great, much better then the tinny speakers built into the TV and the sub-woofer is a real plus. You'll definitely notice the big improvement in sound when watching DVDs. I'd recommend this to anybody. For less then $100, this is one heck of a deal.

Better than the TV speakers
Remember I'm not an audiophile. The built-in speakers on my xxxx (rhymes with Pony) 52 in. weren't clear when watching movies. Hushed conversations were hard to hear. Regular TV was Ok. I wanted something that was unobtrusive so I chose the Sharp because I thought I could stand them vertically behind the TV. That really didn't sound good. I put them in the soundbar configuration and they are literally invisible. My wife asked where I put them. Success! Performance: They sound good when cranked up for movies. They sound hollow when cranked down for TV. Since they sense the audio signal from the TV to automatically turn on and off, if you turn the TV down too low the speakers turn off! Once you realize this it's not too much of a problem. I used the audio output jack on the TV as I didn't have an HDMI output. Works fine. They're nice that you don't have to have a separate remote.

Good value
As advertised. Very thin bar and the panasonic viera link works perfect which allows the tv remote to control the volume. Sound is not great but much better than tv speakers and system is very inexpensive.
