Decent computer for the price
I have to agree with the other reviews in that the touchpad isn't very good. The system itself is pretty quick and responsive. I've had a couple issues with windows 8 requiring a reboot due to an error. This happened once because of an issue with the graphics card, and once for an unknown error. The computer is fairly sturdy, but not anything to write home about. All in all, it's a pretty good computer for the price.

Great except for touchpad & Windows 8
Touchpad is too sensitive sometimes and not sensitive enough at times. Usable once you get used to it, but annoying at first. I tweaked the sensitivity via the control panel, but it still is a slight annoyance. Windows 8 is a pain. Installed a Windows 7 shell and am happy now. Performance is very good for this price range, but not stellar. Overall, good value.

Solid laptop with a great processor
In all honesty, most people complain about the touchpad. When I first received the laptop, I too had problems. Make sure to change the sensitivity settings for the ELAN Pointing Device in the sys tray. The laptop itself is very fast, and very stable. This laptop is my fourth, and in total, my 8th windows based computer, and this one seems to be the fastest in terms of processor.

Could be better performance for the processor.....
It won't upgrade ram at all and is all plastic kind of cheap could be better

Best Bang for the Buck
You just cannot beat this price. i5 below 500 bucks!!! Sleek and simple design. Phenomenal keyboard arrangement with adequate firmness, touch pad was a little too sensitive for me but that can be adjusted. If you are not playing the high-end games or use graphic editing software, this model won't disappoint. I was able to run two year old games like NFS most wanted smoothly with every settings maxed out. As far as day to day tasks like running office, pdf, browsing, or some rookie video editing, this laptop won't come short of speed. You might need to upgrade your ram to 8GB which won't cost you more that 40-50 bucks. One last thing, the screen is more toward the mediocre side as far as quality but with a little color adjustments it can be on par with much much more expensive models. Would highly recommend this to friends and family.
