Fantastic Tablet for the price!
Bought two of these fantastic tablets after seeing one a relative had. There is nothing but great things to be said about the Nexus 7!! The only lacking thing is a good camera on both front and back - but I use a camera for good pics anyway - use skype with the screen-side cam. All in all these are the best you'll find out there for this price!!! Recommend buying these to anyone!!!

'Practically perfect in every way' (Mary Poppins)
OK- being as critical as I can be about this thing- I did read somewhat about screen calibration issues at factory causing colors to look less than great. This may not effect every device but whether it effected mine or not- I couldn't tell as the screen seemed brilliant and beautiful to me at all times. Mileage may vary. Also - the lack of a front-facing camera to me is a real shame as this device would otherwise be the very best possible student tool. It is just small enough to be comfortably portable, just large enough to make a wonderful ebook reader and study tool not to mention - word-processor with the aid of a keyboard etc. in a pinch. Otherwise it's the most solid, the most capable, the fastest tablet by far I have seen. Fit and finish, aesthetics and feel in the hand are just all delicious. A thing of beauty like this does not come around often.

Quality Product
My wife uses this tablet to read news sites and ePub books, and also for email and a few games. It works well for her purpose. I like that it is very small and light. The one con I see is that the provided charging cable is too short, only 3 feet long.

Nice tablet
I've watched all movie websites use Adobe Flash and this tablet works well but when I move the tablet, the screen might get black during the sound or even it is frozen sometimes.

A resistive touchscreen panel is a technology composed of several layers, the layers that allow control of positioning are two thin, electrically conductive layers separated by a narrow gap. When your finger, presses down on a point on the panel's outer surface the two metallic layers come in contact at that point, and that location is sent to the device - to perform some action or move the cursor. Resistive touchscreens are reliable, but can only be used to control a single point at a time.
capacitive touchscreen panel consists of an insulator such as glass, coated with a transparent conductor such as indium tin oxide (ITO). Since the human body is also an electrical conductor, touching the surface of the screen results in a distortion of the screen's electrostatic field, measurable as a change in capacitance. Different technologies may be used to determine the location of the touch. The location is then sent to the device to be interpreted. Unlike a resistive touchscreen, capacitive requires contact with your finger - it is much more flexible and precise, but you can't use it with gloves, though you can use a capacitive stylus if the device supports them. Capacitive touchscreens also support multi-touch operations that let you perform more complex tasks with a single action.
